Fireside Lodge furniture is handcrafted from real wood, including solid wood, reclaimed barnwood, and log materials. Wood is a natural material that continues to respond to changes in temperature and humidity after it has been made into furniture. Seasonal expansion and contraction may result in checking, minor cracks, small openings between boards, surface movement, or changes in the appearance of joints. Reclaimed and log materials may also contain pre-existing checks, cracks, nail holes, knots, insect tracking, saw marks, weathering, color variation, and other characteristics acquired during the life of the wood. These characteristics are expected and contribute to the unique nature of the furniture.
